We offer cosmetic transformations including porcelain veneers and teeth whitening.

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin sheets of ceramic designed specifically for you and your teeth.

Veneers are a great option to improve your smile while resolving many teeth problems. Applying veneers is a delicate cosmetic process and must be done by someone with cosmetic dentistry experience. We work with veneers routinely so we know how to create a new, perfect smile designed specifically for you.

What will they look like?

Veneers, which are made of ultra-thin porcelain that are specifically designed on a case by case basis for your needs. Once we bond them to your teeth, no one will even be able to tell they’re there! When it comes to strength and appearance, their resemblance to healthy, white tooth enamel is unsurpassed by other cosmetic options.

How durable are porcelain veneers?

Veneers in most cases can last up to 10 years if they are taken care of properly.

Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro promise that your veneers are made from very high grade porcelain and the bonds used to attach your veneers will be strong enough to keep you smiling for years to come. To prolong the wear of your veneers, avoid opening things with your teeth (packages, bottles, cans). If you do break or chip a veneer it is usually possible to replace the one broken veneer.

Whitening

What is Zoom! tooth whitening?

Zoom! is another cosmetic procedure we offer that bleaches and lightens any discoloration of enamel and dentin.

What can cause tooth discoloration?

Coffee, tea, and tobacco are the most common causes of tooth discoloration. Over time, enamel loses its luster. Tooth discoloration can also occur by consuming tetracycline, certain antibiotics, or excessive fluoride during tooth formation.

Who can benefit from tooth whitening?

Most people will experience dissatisfaction with the whiteness of their smile at some point. Luckily, this cosmetic procedure only takes about an hour and can help regain your confidence.

How does the Zoom! In-Office System work?

The Zoom! is a light-activated whitening gel. Hydrogen peroxide is the gel’s most active ingredient. As it is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentin, bleaching any colored substance while leaving the structure of the tooth unchanged. This cosmetic, bleaching system whitens enamel and dentin.

Is the Zoom! In-office procedure painful?

It is a safe and painless cosmetic procedure. Some patients have even fallen asleep!

Are there any side effects?

You may experience slight tooth sensitivity to cold after the procedure. If you do experience this, it will last no more than 3 days after the procedure.

How long is the procedure?

The entire cosmetic procedure takes just over one hour. The procedure begins with a preparation period followed by one hour of bleaching. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure.

How is the Zoom! Take-Home System different from the Zoom! In-Office System?

The only real difference between the two is that one is done in your home over the course of a few nights, while the In-Office System is done entirely here at the office in the course of just over 1 hour.

What are the details of teeth whitening?

This quick, safe, and inexpensive cosmetic procedure can be done at any time. Let us know when you would like to get it done!

Which teeth you want done and how white you want them is all up to you. Custom bleach trays as well as a special bleaching agent are provided by us. After a few hours of wear per day, the special bleaching agent will begin to bubble stains out of your enamel without changing existing dental work or the structure of your tooth. When your teeth have reached desired brightness, you will only need to treat your teeth occasionally in order to maintain your new smile.

How can Teeth Whitening Benefit You

Teeth whitening is a permanent cosmetic solution to fix any discoloration or spotting on the teeth regardless of age. The bleach (kept on your teeth by a clear tray) will then be kept on the teeth for 30 to 45 minutes each night for a total of 1-5 nights (depending on your desired shade). After this time period, your smile will be noticeably whiter. Teeth whitening is a great option for those who wish to have a bright, confident smile, although veneers may be the better and more successful option for multiple stained teeth. Cosmetic procedures are also done to improve dental health and the overall appearance of your teeth.

Considerations for Teeth Whitening

If you want your teeth immediately whiter or prefer to whiten your teeth over the course of a few nights while you sleep, Dr. Helfner and Dr. Curro have the answer with Zoom! This cosmetic procedure system uses new-age technology to whiten your teeth an average of eight shades in a little over an hour and you just get to relax! This cosmetic procedure is ideal for anyone who wants to see immediate results.
